The Southern Piedmont Technology Council celebrated the area's Technology Stars on November 3, 2010. The Awards Banquet honored and our region's technology-related achievements. It also highlighted individuals and organizations that recognize the importance of technology to our region.

  • Leadership in Outreach: Innovative uses of technology for regional support services and outreach
    Winner: Melany Reeves Stowe

  • Leadership in Government: Technological advances in government operations and functions
    Winners: Mike Scaffidi with the City of Martinsville and The City of Danville

  • Leadership in Education: Use of technology to promote and enhance educational opportunities
    Winner: the Institute for Advanced Learning and Research’s Education & Outreach department

  • Leadership in Manufacturing: Implementing technology to positively impact and improve manufacturing processes and applications
